In the depths of Covid, with a newborn baby, Jacob Reeds decided to pick up a new hobby instead of going insane. He took the time to build an entire setup for resin 3D Printing. The goal was simple, create miniatures for the tabletop games he loves to play like D&D. Jo gave him two thumbs up, not because she wanted him to do it, but because she wanted to paint the miniatures he printed. Years later, this pair are using their skills to help bring happiness to your tables, printing and painting miniatures for your table to fight, parlay, or whatever else you let your bard do to them. They specialize in larger creations like fearsome dragons, amazing aliens, and the monsters that will haunt your nightmares.
Jacob currently uses an Elegoo Jupiter obtained through the Kickstarted. This massive printer allows for prints approximately 7″ by 12″ by 12″ in volume. This allows the blue dragon there to be 14 feet long when curled around properly. He uses a jewelry cleaner to vibrate the excess liquid resin off to clean the prints and a custom made curing box to handle prints of these sizes.
Jacob is willing to print just about anything! You will need to either own the rights to the object or have the right to share the object. Jacob is willing to pose a pre-made model with a good armature, but is not able to modify or sculpt at this time. They are willing to work with NFSFW models as well!
Prices are typically as follows:
Printing – $2.50/mini OR $5/print hour, whichever is greater. This covers the cost of the resin and a little extra in case a print fails.
Painting – Jo typically works for $20/hour painting. This will be adjusted as needed as every print has a different size, shape, and quantity. This will be clear in the quote what our estimate is.
There will be additional fees included in the quote for taxes as well as certain subject matters. Everything will be made clear in the quote.
If you are interested in getting a commission, please email Jacob at Printing@TheSilverStripe.com and he will get back to you as soon as possible.
